The most important part of your electric car or a hybrid is its battery. They can last only several years, and they are expensive. Because of this, you will have to check it regularly. Check the water levels in the battery, and fill if it is required. Also, pay attention to the connections, they must be tight. Terminals must be corrosion free. Brushes on your electric car must be replaced eventually. In most cases, you will have to replace them when a car cover 80.000 miles.
With your hybrid car, you will have to pay attention to the aforementioned things and a few more. Oil and oil filter must be changed regularly. Transmission fluid as well. Hybrid car uses a radiator. Because of this, you will have to check for coolant levels regularly and add if it is needed. Occasionally a radiator must be filled and flushed, in order to remove the debris and rust from it.
The maintenance you will have to perform on both types of cars include tires. Remember to replace them when they are old or they have covered a lot of mileage. Check tire pressure as well.
