UNDERSTANDING OUR ENVIRONMENT
There has been an increase in the number of scientists who have come up with ways of understanding our environment and as a result they have ended up helping us greatly.
Our environment can easily be affected by the things we do on a day to day basis such as polluting the environment through littering. Polluting the environment are usually associated with negative effects which are bound to affect us for instance Global warming which has been known to be brought about by pollution of the environment.
The weather man helps us to prepare for what is to come with regards to weather and the implications that the environment will face and this has made us safe in a way. No one can prevent a natural disaster, but we can at least be ready for them. Disasters like tsunami and earthquakes can be detected with machines which are currently available. That said it is good to note that these machines are at times not that accurate.
Apart from humans, animals are increasingly being seen as indicators of bad things which are about to happen in our environment. It is believed that animals detect natural disasters and starts behaving funny. Animals like dogs start barking and become hostile when they notice some shift which is not normal in the environment and it’s not only dogs as cats do the same thing as well.
An elephant can detect earthquakes using the sole of their feet; their sole detect the high vibration in the ground. Fish, sharks and dolphins tend to avoid the lower part of the sea and they are normally seen on the shores but behaving strangely. Animals don’t die during earthquakes and tsunamis because they detect danger and avoid dangerous places.
